Privacy Policy

The Forex Mobile app does not collect personal information, does not track you, and does not run analytics or advertising. Exchange rates are fetched from public APIs with no identifying data attached. Purchases are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat — we never see your payment details.
Your settings and cached rates stay on your device.
Who This Covers
This policy applies to the Forex Mobile — Currency Converter Android application (package name com.forexmobile.converter ) available on the Google Play Store. For the forex.mobile website, see our website privacy policy.
Information We Collect
The short answer: none of it leaves your phone. Here's the full list of data the app touches:
Home currency, decimal places, refresh interval, home screen configuration. Stored locally via Android AsyncStorage. Never uploaded.
We store the last-fetched rates in a local SQLite database on your device so the app works offline. This contains public exchange-rate data only — no information about you.
A local counter of how many times you've opened the app, used only to decide when to show the upgrade prompt. Never transmitted.
Whether you have purchased the Pro upgrade, cached locally after verification with RevenueCat (see 'Third-party services' below).
What We Do NOT Collect
For clarity, the app explicitly does not:
- Collect your name, email, phone number, or any account information
- Access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or files
- Track your location (no GPS permission requested)
- Use advertising identifiers (AAID) or run any ad networks
- Run analytics services (no Google Analytics, Sentry, Firebase, etc.)
- Create a user profile or cross-device identifier
- Send data to our own servers (we do not operate any backend)
Third-Party Services
The app connects directly to the following public APIs when you have internet access. None of these calls include any identifying information — only the rate request itself and your device's IP address (which the API provider may log briefly for abuse prevention).
Fetches current fiat currency rates. Public open endpoint, no API key, no sign-up required. See their privacy policy at exchangerate-api.com.
Fetches current and historical cryptocurrency rates (BTC, ETH, etc.). Public free tier, no API key. See coingecko.com/privacy for their policy.
Fetches historical fiat rates for chart data. Public ECB-sourced API, no authentication. See frankfurter.dev for details.
Handles in-app purchase validation for the Pro upgrade. If you purchase Pro, RevenueCat receives a anonymized purchase token from Google Play and returns your entitlement status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
Processes the actual payment when you purchase Pro. Your payment details (card, billing address) are handled entirely by Google — we never see them. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Android Permissions
The app requests only the minimum permissions needed to function:

Because the app does not collect personal data, most data-subject rights do not apply in practice — there is no user profile to access, correct, or delete. You do, however, retain the following rights regarding any purchase record:
- Delete all local data: Uninstall the app. All preferences, cache, and entitlement status stored on your device are removed.
- Purchase refunds and data: Requests related to Pro purchases go through Google Play (refunds) and RevenueCat (purchase history). Contact us and we will help you raise the request with the correct party.
- Data portability: Settings and cached rates are stored in standard formats (AsyncStorage JSON, SQLite) inside the app's sandbox. On a rooted device or via adb backup you may retrieve them directly.
Children's Privacy
The app is rated suitable for all ages on the Google Play Store and does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains no ads, no social features, no user-generated content, and no communication tools.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we add features, change third-party services, or in response to legal requirements. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes on Google Play. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
