James Morgan

James Morgan began trading forex in 2013 during a quant internship at a London-based proprietary firm. He moved to the retail side in 2016 after the UK's FCA tightened leverage rules for prop desks, and has been testing retail broker accounts ever since — primarily looking for the gap between marketing claims and execution reality.

Every review you read here starts with him opening a live, funded account with the broker, sampling spreads at London, New York, and Tokyo opens across at least two weeks, and measuring withdrawal turnaround time end-to-end. He's particularly interested in the practical differences between brokers that look identical on paper — execution slippage on news prints, cTrader vs MT5 fill quality, and how long it actually takes to get dollars back from offshore entities.

James previously wrote for two independent FX analytics newsletters and has been quoted in coverage of retail broker consolidation events. He trades EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, and gold (XAU/USD) as his main instruments, and uses Vantage and Exness as his personal accounts.
